The host is the person who’s inviting the visitor(s). It is a concept that can be used through Peripass for:

  • To set a host in CC of an E-ticket.

  • Inform reception which colleague to call to inform that the visitor has arrived.

  • Set an action to notify the host when his visitor has arrived.

In order to be recognized as a host, you will need to create a new user role ‘Host’ in the Peripass tenant.

The information on the host needs to be filled correctly in the user information, with a valid e-mail address and valid phone number (format “+ countrycode”; e.g. +32478123456).

Select your host at the kiosk

You can ask a visitor to provide his/her host on the kiosk. This way, the host can be notified after registration is complete.

While filling in the name, a list of users is shown to help you select the correct person (it shows all users, not only users with the user role 'Host').

A host is never visible on the kiosk when automatic approval is enabled, OR an e-ticket is used. This is because for pre-registered visitors, the host is automatically known. It is not possible to change the host.

Notify the host automatically

The host can be notified automatically by the following means:

  • with an sms on his mobile phone

  • with an e-mail

  • with a call to his internal VOIP/SIP number. (VoIP must support calls being initiated from web requests)

When a visitor has multiple profiles, the host from the currently active profile is used. The active profile is the profile of today or the first in the future.
