Explanation

Simple flow with ACS / ANPR & dispatch

Video:

Profile to use: Inbound / Unload

More info

Framework for your demo:

  1. Explain the general flow

  2. Pre-register your visitor

  3. Register on the kiosk

  4. Dispatch + text message

  5. Finalise & show extra’s like audit log or picture

Be sure to select carrier "other" to avoid autodispatch

This flow uses automatic approval. You can use the PO number or slot number to register.

This flow can also be used for demonstrating a fallback to manual approval:

  • At the identifiction step on the kiosk, just fill in a non-existing reference.

  • A warning will be shown, after which you will be able to continue.

This flow can be also used for demonstrating ANPR (when visitor is checked in):

  • Use the license plate available in the office (1ABC337).

  • A distance of 2 metres from the camera is ideal for reading it.

  • You can present the license plate a second time to check out

  • After use, place the license plate back at its designated location, using the velcro.

Since we only have one license plate, it will be automatically removed from the camera after 1h - 1h15 minutes. This is to make sure that a next demo with this license plate will work. Please go trough the visitor's flow whitin this time.

Important for remote demo's:

Don't use 1ABC337 as a license plate & type the license plate on SSK in upercase

Mobile Driver Portal

Profile to use: Inbound / Unload

More info

Framework for your demo:

  1. Explain the main idea and when you need this feature

  2. Pre-register your visitor

  3. Explain how to share the registration link with drivers

  4. Demo registration:

    1. pre-registered vs. ad-hoc → same functionality

    2. Smart caching: language, mobile number

  5. Result: registered visitor (nothing new)

  6. Geofencing: Allowing visitors to register within a fixed perimeter of the site

Main idea: a dedicated kiosk configuration for mobile registrations

Why:

  • Give priority to a selected group of drivers (fast registration)

  • Give advantage to recurring drivers (in-cab registration)

  • Allow registrations from a nearby area when waiting parking is limited at the site

  • Keep truck drivers as much as possible in the cabin (safety)

  • Have lower capex costs when rolling out new sites (mobile first, physical kiosk for fallback)

Automatic Dispatch

Profile to use: Inbound / Unload

More info

Select carrier DHL or XPO

Be carefull, only for outbound: if a visitor has a start slot time, autodispatch will only dispatch the visitor when he is in his dispatch window (5 min before start of slot untill 15 min after start of slot)

Weighing

Profile to use: Inbound / Unload

Other info: First dispatch, then go back to the kiosk to initiate the weighings

Slot tracking

Profile to use: Outbound / Load

More info

– 1 –
Prepare visitors (be sure to add them immediately to the waiting queue: create > then use action menu to "place in queue - outbound).

LOGIC:
-- 2 hours before start = green
-- 15 min before > 15 min after start = orange
-- 15 min after start = black or red

Shipment 1: slot starts 13 minutes ago + add this visitor immediately to the the waiting queue
-- In a couple of minutes this visitor will be after his dispatch window and will have red slot tracking status

Shipment 2: slot starts now + add this visitor to the waiting queue
-- This visitor has an orange state

Shipment 3: slot starts 2 hours ago + add this visitor to the waiting queue
-- This visitor has black slot tracking status as he arrived late

Shipment 4: slot starts in 2 hours + add this visitor to the waiting queue
-- This visitors has a dark green slot tracking status as he arrived well in time

– 2 –

Show visitors in the queue and explain the difference between the statuses

Optionally:

  • Create a new visitor with start slot in more than 2 hours. This visitor will have the

light green slot tracking status as he is before his arrival window.

  • Make some room in the nearby queue and verify that this visitor is not being called of to the nearby queue as he is not yet in his arrival window.

Optionally

If you want to demonstrate autodispatch, then make sure your visitor is:
--- Slot start is not empty
--- In his dispatch window
--- If slot start is empty, autodispatch will work according to the other scenario above

Dock sensors

Video: tbd

Profile to use: Outbound / Load

More info

The Outbound / Load dashboard has 2 yard locations that are connected to the dock sensors at the office: SENS 1 and SENS 2

To demonstrate the yard location showing as 'occupied' by the sensor, use the toy truck that is present at the office. The metal plates underneath the truck should be in the middle of the dock sensor.

It could take up to 3 minutes until this is reflected on the yard location in Peripass. This is to avoid that the dock sensors trigger too eagerly when the truck is still busy parking.

After your demo, make sure you put the toy truck back on one of the SENS yard locations. This allows other people to do remote demo's on this as well.

Office visitor: Calendar connector and E-ticket

Profile to use: Visitor with appointment

Other info: Send calendar invite to [email protected]

Certified persons (incl badges)

Profile to use: Contractor

More info

No pre-registration needed

Person with certificates = 101
Person on blacklist = 999

The last answer is always the correct one

You can retry a test 2 times

This flow uses a badge for entry:
-- Use the dispenser at the Prestop indoor kiosk to take a badge (also when using a different kiosk). After approval of the visitor, you can use the badge to open the barrier.
-- When remote, you must fill in 12345 using your physical keyboard and continue. (this is an non-existing badge and will not be added to the ACS)

There are two ways to demonstrate check-out:
-- use the badge reader at the barrier a second time
-- use the 'check out by badge' on the kiosk

Make sure you check out every contractor visitor you create afterwards! Otherwise, the badge you used won't work for the next person giving a demo with it.

Office visitor without appointment
