Set Ask for yard operation on the kiosk to Yes or No as needed.
Asset Registration - Asset Type selection
After informing the type of operation, type of asset needs to be selected (if more than one type available).
Asset identification
When a visitor drops off a trailer on the yard after their visit, Peripass needs to collect information about the asset. The visitor is therefore asked to identify the trailer during the registration process.
Peripass handles this in different ways depending on whether the trailer is already known in the platform:
Trailer exists and is offsite
The trailer is automatically linked to the visitor.Trailer exists but is already onsite (conflict)
The visitor receives a warning indicating that the trailer is already registered on the yard.
If the visitor confirms the registration anyway, Peripass will create a duplicate trailer to avoid blocking the registration.Trailer is unknown in Peripass
A new trailer is created and linked to the visitor.
Warning to drivers
A warning is shown when the trailer is already known in the system but is currently in use on the yard.
Linking assets to visitors
Assets can be linked to visitors depending on the type of operation.
Drop-off visitors
For drop-off visits, off-site assets are linked to the visitor during registration. This allows the asset to be registered on-site once the drop-off operation is completed.
Pick-up visitors
For pick-up visits, the asset is linked to the visitor after the visitor is dispatched to the location or asset. Once the pick-up operation is completed, the asset is considered off-site, as it leaves the yard with the visitor.
Drop-off and pick-up visitors
In some cases, a visitor drops off one trailer and picks up another during the same visit.
After registration: the visitor is linked to the drop-off asset.
After dispatch: the visitor is linked to both the drop-off and pick-up assets.
After the operation is completed: the drop-off asset is no longer linked to the visitor and is registered at a yard location. The visitor remains linked only to the pick-up asset.
After the visitor departs: the pick-up is completed and the pick-up asset is considered off-site, leaving the yard with the visitor.
