Understanding reporting in Peripass

Written by Arne Bracke

Peripass offers two types of reporting, each designed for a different purpose:

  • Real-time reporting → What is happening right now

  • Trend reporting → What has happened over time

Understanding the difference helps you choose the right view for your use case.

Real-time reporting: Yard Live Dashboards

Real-time reporting gives you a live view of your operations.

Use it when you want to:

  • Monitor what’s currently happening on-site

  • Take immediate action (e.g. delays, congestion, issues)

  • Support daily operations and decision-making

Examples:

  • Current yard occupancy

  • Active visits and their status

  • Live queues

👉 Think: “What is happening right now, and do I need to act?”

Trend reporting: Yard Insights

Trend reporting helps you analyse performance over time.

Use it when you want to:

  • Identify patterns and bottlenecks

  • Evaluate performance (e.g. weekly/monthly)

  • Support continuous improvement and strategic decisions

Examples:

  • Average waiting times over time

  • Throughput per day/week/month

  • SLA performance trends

👉 Think: “How are we performing, and how can we improve?”

In the articles below, you’ll find detailed explanations of each report and how to use them effectively.
